Public Transportation Study

Public Transportation Study

From 2000 to 2003, the Planning and Development Department worked with the United Way Public Transportation Committee, comprised of community leaders and stakeholders, to examine the limited public transportation services affecting senior citizens, disabled residents, children/youth participating in after-school activities, and welfare-to-work clients, as well as the feasibility of a public transportation system in Mifflin County.

The Mifflin County Public Transportation Study was completed in 2002. However, implementation of public transportation in the County was not approved at that time.
